Trump Derangement Syndrome: Driver commits vehicular ASSAULT to try to kill man displaying a Trump bumper sticker

Many Americans continue to scoff at the notion that “Trump Derangement Syndrome” is a real thing, but you don’t have to dig very far through the day’s news headlines to find evidence proving its existence.

The latest example comes from Massachusetts, The Gateway Pundit reported Wednesday. Chloe Wright, 25, of Tauton, Mass., actually chased down a driver whose car bore a Trump bumper sticker and rammed it. “The driver said he was almost hit when [she] rammed his car and hit his door,” TGP reported.

The Cape Cod Times noted further:

A Taunton woman accused of intentionally driving into a man’s car a month ago after becoming enraged by a Trump bumper sticker pleaded not guilty Monday in Barnstable District Court to a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon.

Chloe Wright, 25, also faces charges of vandalizing property and leaving the scene of property damage. She was released on $1,250 bail and was ordered to stay away from the victim.

The paper said that a man called Barnstable police on June 30 to report a hit-and-run. The man told officers who responded that he was stopped for a red light when a driver behind him – Wright, allegedly – began honking.

According to the police report cited by the paper, the man simply continued driving after the light changed but the car that had been honking followed him – still honking. When he stopped once again for a red light the driver then began shouting at him as well.

The man told police he then thought perhaps something was wrong with the back of his car so he stepped out to take a look. When he did, he said the driver started shouting at him about a President Donald Trump bumper sticker on his vehicle.

“She said, ‘You voted for Trump?’ I said yes. She called me a racist and several other names,” the man wrote in a statement to cops.

As he began recording the incident on his smart phone Wright drove around his vehicle which forced him to retreat into the opening of his vehicle’s driver side doorway. She then drove straight at him and struck the open door, he told police.

“She bent my door and I had to lean back to avoid getting hit. She also hit the side of my car,” the man wrote in his statement.

Wright then drove away.

It’s a real condition

The smart phone recording shows the woman’s car, a gray Honda Civic, strike the man’s open driver’s side door. The man’s girlfriend, in the car with him at the time, backed his version of events.

Police traced the license plate of the Honda, captured in the video, to Wright. The man also identified a driver’s license photo of Wright as his assailant.

Now think for a moment. What else besides ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ would make someone who otherwise may be perfectly rational and calm behave in a way that could potentially put them in jail – perhaps for years? There’s more evidence to support the conclusion that TDS is real.

The Daily Caller reported late last month that “therapists around Washington, D.C., are noticing a sharp increase in patients describing symptoms” of TDS.

“There is a fear of the world ending,” DC Counseling and Psychotherapy Center founder Elisabeth LaMotte told The DC, in reference to some of the president’s policies. “It’s very disorienting and constantly unsettling.”

She said one of her patients asked of Trump, “Is he gonna blow us all up?”

The Urban Dictionary describes TDS as “a mental condition in which a person has been driven effectively insane due to their dislike of Donald Trump, to the point at which they will abandon all logic and reason” – and ram people’s vehicles who have a Trump bumper sticker.
